This ring is a Masonic ring passed down from Lodge Master to Lodge Master. The current owner’s grandfather had worn the ring and lost the square and compasses at the top of the ring in the North African desert during his service there in World War II.

The ring later passed to his grandson, who was also a Freemason and Master of Queen Anne Lodge #242 F & AM in Seattle, Washington.
